The Day My Inner Child Reminded Me of God’s Plan

This morning, while getting ready, a childhood memory came rushing back — one I hadn’t thought about in years. I suddenly remembered the movie Satisfaction from the 80s and that iconic song, “I can’t get no satisfaction…”

I used to love that song as a little girl. I didn’t understand all the lyrics back then, but the energy of it stuck with me. This morning, though, God brought it back with new meaning. It hit me: I can’t get no satisfaction without God.

No matter how hard I try, no matter what I chase or achieve — if it’s not aligned with His plan for me, it just doesn’t fulfill my soul. I can try, and try, and try… but the peace, the joy, the real satisfaction only comes when I’m walking in Divine alignment.

Sometimes, our inner child remembers what our adult self forgets — that innocence, that joy, that trust that God will take care of us. My inner child reminded me this morning: “You don’t have to force what’s already yours. You just have to stay in alignment.”

So today, I encourage you — stop chasing satisfaction in things, people, or situations that drain your spirit. Real satisfaction is found in purpose, obedience, and partnership with God.

When you align, you don’t have to chase — blessings find you.

Affirmation for today:

“I don’t chase satisfaction. I live in divine alignment. Everything meant for me brings peace, not pressure.”
